after four nights in the countryside town, we met these people, also Americans
they directed us to drive past these sheep to find the village we were looking for!
where the villagers were celebrating in their traditional way
a lightfooted, quick stepping sort of jig
they were interested in us and said, the reason you Americans don't know about us, is because you don't live among us.
in their village dance, the men led the way
first a few, then the entire circle was filled with dancers
too young to dance, but enjoying the show
front-row seats for grandmas!
this family hosted us into the night, after the party.
This was why we came.
